STUNNING conclusion。 I have been looking forward to this book since the moment I first finished Dawn Caravan and Ms。 Hunter did not disappoint me。 Everyone had strong personal growth and the hunt had a definitive sense of urgency。 I love my time living in the Elemental World whenever I visit。

Wow wow wow wow。Elizabeth Hunter does it again， Elizabeth writes with such attention to detail。 Her characters are so well developed and the world-building is so fantastic you feel like you are in Ethiopia。 I love the characters of Ben and Tenzin and it’s nice to see them finding their rhythm as a couple。Ben and Tenzin with help from friends in search of the bone scroll a very old and possibly dangerous artefact

This review was originally posted on Books of My Heart Review copy was received from Author。 This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review。The Elemental Legacy series （Ben / Tenzin） builds upon the very beginning which is Elemental Mysteries （Original series）and then the Elemental World。 （Expanded World） I would classify Elemental Mysteries and Elemental Legacy as urban fantasy as they deal with one couple primarily， whereas Elemental World is more paranormal romanc This review was originally posted on Books of My Heart Review copy was received from Author。 This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review。The Elemental Legacy series （Ben / Tenzin） builds upon the very beginning which is Elemental Mysteries （Original series）and then the Elemental World。 （Expanded World） I would classify Elemental Mysteries and Elemental Legacy as urban fantasy as they deal with one couple primarily， whereas Elemental World is more paranormal romance with a different couple or character in each book。 You could read just Elemental Legacy but being the OCD reader I am， I would start with Mysteries， then World， then Legacy。 If that's too much， you could probably just do Mysteries， the Bronze Blade， and then Legacy， or possibly just Bronze Blade and then Legacy。 But I would really just read them all as they are great！ Now we are getting to the heart of the relationship of Ben & Tenzin， as they make choices and adjust to their lives together。 They learn of a new magical artifact， the Bone Scroll， and make plans to find it。 As they go along， we get more time with Gio， B and Sadia， Chloe and meet Daniel， Carwyn's youngest son， an earth vampire。 So it's enjoyable to catch up with these characters as they go on the hunt。One of the most compelling aspects for me， was the lush descriptions of Ethiopia。 It made me want to know more of its history and current situation。 I'd also like to travel there and learn more about their food。There is a real progression and learning between Ben and Tenzin。 They have always had complimentary skills。 Tenzin knows a lot of history and about vampires。 Ben has better people skills and strategy and modern knowledge。 They've worked together for about ten years but it's odd now to see their sexual relationship。 Tenzin is used to hiding her thoughts and feelings， not used to sharing。 Ben is still learning how vampire things work and is still feeling young and vulnerable。 They want to share blood but what will that mean？There are complications because it is in Saba's territory。 Ben & Tenzin plan to find some things Saba wants to "trade" for the bone scroll。 The bone scroll is not originally from her area， and is too dangerous to leave any old place。 Ben is honorable about only "stealing" things from people who originally stole them， to give back to the original owners。 Tenzin is a little more clingy to treasure。 I enjoyed their smart strategies in finding and acquiring items。 Their plans are good with an accurate take on the negotiations and the dangers。 Saba just makes everything more complex than it needs to be。This adventure helps the couple learn more about themselves and their connection。 There is also a path opened for how they will spend some of their time in their future。 I look forward to seeing how that goes and particularly how Ben grows into his new vampire capabilities。 。。。more

This book reaches all the way back to groundwork laid in ‘A Hidden Fire’ and proceeds to string together so many aspects of the subsequent plot lines within all the Elemental series into the most beautiful bow。 Or， to put it in terms that Ben and Tenzin might prefer， it feels like the reader is picking a lock: carefully listening as all the tiny-but-important parts click into perfect alignment so that you suddenly can unlock an amazing and unexpected treasure。 The evolution of Ben and Tenzin （bo This book reaches all the way back to groundwork laid in ‘A Hidden Fire’ and proceeds to string together so many aspects of the subsequent plot lines within all the Elemental series into the most beautiful bow。 Or， to put it in terms that Ben and Tenzin might prefer， it feels like the reader is picking a lock: carefully listening as all the tiny-but-important parts click into perfect alignment so that you suddenly can unlock an amazing and unexpected treasure。 The evolution of Ben and Tenzin （both individually and together） is such an incredible journey to witness。 The details about the cultural significance of the settings and the homage paid to restoring historical artifacts really gave that extra touch to the book that is truly Elizabeth’s speciality at this point。 But I think my favourite part was all the little “Tenzin moments” which added a delightful humour throughout the story。 Honestly， to quote Tenzin， “English needs better words” to express how much I loved this book。 It was THAT good。 I pondered how to even review it for way too long and I hope I have done it justice。 I was given an early copy to read and I am happy to say that it was everything I needed and more。 Despite reading the whole of the Elemental series of books/novellas this one still hit me with some unexpected surprises and made me love all these characters even more。 I absolutely， positively recommend this book。 。。。more

Words cannot express my excitement to see the next Benzin novel sitting on my kindle a little early！ Below is my honest opinion of The Bone Scroll。 This book was such a complex and alluring development in the Ben and Tenzin storyline。 We finally see them back together on a job， and with that comes the comfort of working with a partner you’ve worked alongside for years…like a well oiled machine， only with shenanigans and Tenzinisms。 What I found to be a particularly delightful detail was watching Words cannot express my excitement to see the next Benzin novel sitting on my kindle a little early！ Below is my honest opinion of The Bone Scroll。 This book was such a complex and alluring development in the Ben and Tenzin storyline。 We finally see them back together on a job， and with that comes the comfort of working with a partner you’ve worked alongside for years…like a well oiled machine， only with shenanigans and Tenzinisms。 What I found to be a particularly delightful detail was watching the contrasting aspect to that in their personally relationship as they learn each other in this new intimate way。 Oh Tenzin， I will never be bored with your one liners！We see SO many old friends in this book！ It made my heart swell with happiness。 So much Gio， B and SADIA！！ And you know how Elizabeth is famous for writing side characters that end up stealing the show？ （I’m looking at you， Gavin and Chloe！） Well she has done it again with DANIEL。 PLEASE。 PLEASE WRITE MORE DANIEL！！！！！！ I want alllll of the Daniel stories。 As we’ve come to expect this book is full of mystery， sizzle and plenty of action （both personally and professionally 😉） We get long awaited answers and are left with a few more questions lol The Bone Scroll certainly does not disappoint！ And I was pleased with the ending and the potential for more Benzin in the future。 It felt honest to the characters which I feel is super important。 And just to make sure this is noted enough times to draw attention to it…。more Daniel please 😉 。。。more
